Simrad Tillerpilot are designed to use minimum power while providing maximum thrust. The storm proof body contains all controls and has been tested for many hours in total immersion. Exceptionally quiet when in use, the Tillerpilot gives fast and positive performance to meet the needs of the serious cruising yachtsman.

To judge just how powerful these Tillerpilot are, just look at the speed at which they operate. With no load, all three pilots have impressive lock-to-lock times; pile on the pressure and you really start to appreciate their helming power.

Intelligent design features such as a one step reduction gearbox for low friction, means these pilots don't just deliver a powerful performance, - they're also incredibly efficient, drawing significantly fewer amps than other Tiller Autopilots. Like any Simrad product, these pilots have been tested well beyond the limits of their specification. In this case by totally immersing them in salt water and setting the steering arm to drive in and out for 24 hours. Highly effective seals on the casing plus the fact that all the vital components are housed in a separate compartment, means that everything inside stays dry, even in the toughest conditions.
