Integrated linear drive
The Drive Units are specifically designed for autopilot use to give high mechanic and hydraulic accuracy with a long lifecycle. Designed for low internal leakage to give faster and more accurate steering with low power
consumption. Further they offer extreme rudder precision via variable motor speed and soft start/stop. On top of that the Pumpset are very silent making them very popular with sail boat owners.
Nexus offer two types of hydraulic drive units. The Integrated linear drive or Pumpset and Linear Drive combination for vessels with mechanical steering. Other types of non hydraulic drive units may also be used (linear, rotating or relay/solenoid). The weather resistant design with its compact size allows for installation in cramped areas.
